Given by Forty Eight Point One, it aims to brand and design a virtual event, as well as an intro sequence video.
Brand a virtual design festival with a logo and design toolkit. Create a microsite for event details and ticket sales, and produce an intro video to promote the speakers.
Concept
Today’s landscape is filled with virtual experiences that can be both exciting and overwhelming. Many feel disconnected from the design world, often intimidated by complex themes.
In this context, I envisioned ‘UNDIVIDED,’ a virtual design festival that invites everyone to celebrate creativity, making the world of design approachable and inclusive for all.
Solution
After the turmoil of COVID-19 and war, I envisioned an event promoting peace through a Zen-inspired virtual space.
This nature-themed environment features a minimalistic all-white design, surrounded by trees and plants, allowing attendees to explore exhibitions and connect with designers in a serene, distraction-free setting.
Concept Research
Concept Research
From my research into minimal design, I refined my vision for the event, focusing on creating a serene, distraction-free experience. My goal was to promote unity and offer attendees a calming space that helps them navigate their stress and feel at ease.
Tone Of Voice
Tone Of Voice
I envisioned a calming, unified space for my VR event, so I created a mood board to explore its design. Knowing that virtual reality can feel overwhelming, I focused on a minimal, nature inspired approach to promote relaxation.
Unlike a canvas on a wall, which is limited by size and space, the VR world has no boundaries, allowing us to create an open, immersive environment where creativity knows no bounds.

Logo Creation
My logo features a minimal tree shape symbolizing unity and diversity, reflecting my Zen theme. I chose the Montserrat font for its bold readability.
I took photos of nature for inspiration and edited them in Illustrator with brush techniques inspired by Japanese calligraphy. I chose the middle design to emphasize that beauty lies in imperfection.
Wireframe & Website Texts
Wireframe & Website Texts
I created a wireframe by outlining each page’s purpose and designing the layout for texts and images. I wrote all the text in advance, separating it by page and bolding headings. I focused on designers who convey themes of Zen, tranquility, and meditation.

Website prototype
Website prototype
I used Figma to prototype my website, focusing on a minimal design that emphasizes negative space and a monochromatic color scheme, reminiscent of still water.
The homepage features the video I made prominently and provides links to artists, activities, and ticket purchases. The chosen artists enhance the Zen theme, creating a cohesive experience throughout the site.
Intro Sequence Video
Intro Sequence Video
In my video, I want to highlight the challenges our world faces — uncertainty, illness, and conflict — and how these have filled our lives with stress. My aim is to show how my event can help people find calm and inner peace amidst it all.
Virtual Reality
My mock-up shows the events entrance through a virtual reality headset, highlighting the immersive, calming atmosphere with its minimalist, Zen inspired design.
